Neither my education nor my profession prepared me for what has become my creative passion - beaded jewelry design. Over the years, Ive dabbled in everything from pottery to knitting, soft sculpture, embroidery, and sculpting with polymer clay. A seemingly trivial gift of stone bead chips introduced me to the world of stones and design. And so, with the encouragement and guidance of a knowledgeable friend, I embarked on my second career. The materials themselves an figuring out how best to marry a variety of elements into a “happy” design is my passion. I like to create jewelry with strong visual interest by using unique silhouettes and the intense colors of glass and semi-precious gemstones.
